Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a health insurance plan?
No. Kinora Medical Group provides direct medical services rather than insurance coverage. Our focus is on providing primary and urgent care within the clinic. Since memberships do not cover external services like specialty visits or surgeries, we recommend keeping your traditional policy for those scenarios.
How does billing and cancellation work?
Members are billed in arrears per South Carolina requirements. We confirm all billing details in person at our office, as we do not process payments online. If you ever decide to leave, we simply require a 30-day notice for cancellation.
What is not covered by the membership?
Membership fees exclude external costs such as pharmacy prescriptions, laboratory testing sent out of the clinic, radiological imaging (X-rays, MRIs, etc.) performed elsewhere, and hospital-based treatments.
Should I keep my current health insurance?
Yes. Kinora Medical Group is not a replacement for comprehensive insurance. We highly recommend maintaining a policy to cover major medical emergencies, specialist consultations, and hospitalizations that fall outside our primary care model.
